    I think lakers at this point, they have a lot of assets to give up.

    Even giving up EG and tucker, they know they are not a championship contender team and they want youngings to build on.

    If Shams really means "extension," then KCP is out of the equation. Extension deadline is Oct 15th. KCP can't be traded until Dec 15th.

    Maybe he meant re-signing. Butler would be giving up huge amounts of cash, to extend that lousy pre-Cap Spike contract he's under, right now, vs resigning for Max (near max) in summer.
