I assume you meant DG as in Draymond Green. Tucker is like a broke down version of green, except without the scoring ability, passing or athleticism.

james johnson is horrible 3 pt shooter and wouldn't be able to replicate what Tucker does for the rockets. horrible fit as a stretch 4/small ball 5

Never said Tucker was better than Green but DG is the only other comparable player that does everything Tucker does. Tucker's role is essentially the rockets version of him.

Once again still doesn't answer the post

Draymond Green is a career 32% three point shooter. If you think three point shooting is what makes guys like Green, PJ, Johnson valuable, you are looking in the wrong place. Besides, Johnson, who actually is the real poor man's Draymond, is a much better player than PJ.

for this team, it's absolutely a big part of what makes him valuable. Surely, you cannot have forgotten what this team has looked like with fake stretch 4's. The spacing is terrible and allows another person to guard hou's isolation players.

It isn't as big of an issue for GS, bc they have multiple elite snipers that can kill teams at any moment

Weren't you the one to proclaim Marcus Morris as our franchise player? Based on that, how can we have confidence in your ability to evaluate players?

If its Gordon or Tucker, Gordon is most likely being dealt. If Knight stays healthy he can be just as productive.

Doesn't matter. Their best position is small ball 5.

That's why they called it a "death lineup".

Yup, Tucker is our version of Draymond. A guy that embraces his role, brings the intensity and the junk yard dog mentality, is talented enough to execute his role on the team, and a guy that others on the team look up to. Dude is a just a winner. I'll admit, I am probably letting emotions get in the way, but I can't feel otherwise after watching him give it his all against a stacked Warriors team.

Let's say Gordon and Tucker are traded for Butler. What's the team going to look like?

    Starting 5 Bench
    Capela Nene
    Melo Chriss
    Butler Ennis
    Harden Green
    Paul Knight/MCW

F- it. Let's roll with it.

Who's going to fill Tuckers PF spot? We will regress.

it does matter. that doesn't make any sense.

small ball gets played for a limited amount of time in games. You still have to put yourself in that position to win to get their. The game isn't just skipped over to small ball.

Seriously. I wouldn't underrate luxury tax savings, especially with MLE in hand.

Jimmy B is one of the few guys that can match CP3 in intensity and dedication to the game. We'd be absolutely stacked with him. Replacing PJ is hard though, but we at least still have the taxpayer MLE to try.

Ennis and Chriss. Literally, almost every team has a 3 and D role player than can do what Tucker does. Hell, Ariza and Mbah Moute played PF and they were fine.

If we can get Butler it could only mean Butler has requested a trade or he refused to sign an extension.

I doubt Lakers will run at Jimmy as they have bigger fish to catch aka Kawhi, Durant or Klay.

Celtic is not sure that they will let Irving walk for nothing or they may sign him out flat.

Who else can Jimmy go to for a championship caliber team?

If we can get Jimmy I can careless if it means EG and Tucker are gone. I am sure Morey will get this to work if Jimmy is available.
