This was my only comment on his performances. So what seems to be the problem. I can't Express my damn self around here.
Exactly, crazy how some fans quickly get into their feelings after a member says anything remotely to how bad a player played. I thought this was a forum in which you can speak your mind.
QB Index, Week 2: Russell Wilson short on support http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-index-week-2-russell-wilson-short-on-support
He could be...with a new head coach, new offensive coordinator, better offensive line, another weapon and better decision making.
Watson is in a tough position. Most of the time when you have a breakout rookie year , you get to experience defenses adjusting to you while you are in a playing rhythm. Watson played well and the film on him was being studied . Defenses had not yet fully adjusted , we had some element of surprise . However, since he got hurt , teams have a full offseason to look at film and he was in the position of having to do rehab. Furthermore , going into this season he didn't have any experience playing against "adjusted" defenses . Also he played very little in the preseason . I just hope he can fully get back into a rhythm and rediscover more of a feel for the game .
The kid led us to beat 3 teams last year who ended up with records of 0-16, 7-9, and 9-7. Too much hype against not very good teams I think. Time will tell.
The hype was more for his performance. Stats and composure. The win-loss was on the whole team/coach. There was also hype about the defensive players coming back.
He looked much better than he did last week. You can almost see the rust falling off. That holding the ball too long can be fixed if they just let him run it up the middle whenever the opportunity presents itself. Nothing wrong with scampering for 4-5 yards and getting down before contact. It would throw the defense off. They have the triple threat at their disposal. Why aren't they taking advantage of it? Don't tell me, because they're afraid of him getting hurt. Well dam, taking that many hits behind the line is what got him hurt last season. Let him use his legs and run.
Watson is certainly making some rookie errors and we probably did overrate him a bit coming into the season. However, how many games with flaccid first halves with various QBs will it take BOB to realize the offense he envisions to work just ain't happening....
