I like the QB's that we have. I for one am not in the mood for any more Kyle Allen like hype. He is from Houston so you never know. Now if we could get Alabama's head coach that would be a different story.
Come on man. There are articles all over the web speculating his target, on every one of those lists is UH.
this is the first time i'm even seeing this come up and have seen 0 legit sources that houston would be a real possibility for hurts
Here is one of dozens of references. And of course everything is speculation at this point including him transferring. But with transfer speculation comes more speculation and questions whether or not UH should or will jump in. This is an H-Town site with several alumni and insiders who might know how UH football stand on him and his potential transfer. https://www.seccountry.com/alabama/jalen-hurts-alabama-quarterback-transfer-destinations-potential
Honestly, I think UH is pretty set at the QB position already. King looks great and Bryson Smith is an explosive athlete. I'd rather get a stud DB transfer.
When and if Hurts officially announces his intention to transfer, I think he's going to have his choice of landing spots, including a good number of P5 schools. You have to figure that basically any P5 school that has a graduating or potentially drafted quarterback would be interested in bringing in a guy that they could basically count on being effective from day one. And if he's able to be a grad transfer, Alabama won't be able to block him, so there would be nothing keep him from ending up at another SEC school, for example. That's no disrespect to UH. They're one of a handful of G5 schools that serve as premier landing spots for P5 transfers, but I just think that Hurts will have his sights set on playing for a P5 program that gives him a shot at winning a national title.
I refuse to get excited about recruits or potential transfers. I'll be excited for anyone wearing red and white performing well. (Coog that feels burnt by the Kyle Allen hype.)
That's not an option you lose a year if you transfer within the same conference. I don'y see him at UH based on our depth chart and the offense we run you have to a good passer and thats what got him benched at Bama.
Hurts really isn’t that good. He cannot throw the ball and frankly doesn’t run the ball well enough to make up for it. I wish him luck but not expecting anything fantastic from him. Honestly, King is likely a better QB.
