Dumb move for the Lakers. Deng would of help Lebron a lot.

I'd think this might be a decent pickup for us

I don't know if Deng has anymore to give to a winning team. I thought he sat a couple years ago because LAL wanted to lose. I don't know why he didn't play last year (injury? suckiness?) but if he still has something and would come here for the min then I'm down.

I'd like him for the vet min. Low risk, high reward situation.

He had a great 2016 season with the Heat, the man played 32 MPG for 74 games, also played 14 games in the playoffs that season at 35 MPG (which he performed very well in)

Then, he had a bad year with Lakers in 2017 (just got paid, on a trash team with rookie coach) so potentially understandable. Then he was sat the entire 2018 year for no reason.

He hasn't had any injuries... those 2016 playoffs where he played extremely well in for 35 MPG isn't that far removed, he's only turned 33 in April and he just got a full year of rest. We have a great team, great coach and there would be no pressure on him. If he can return to even just half the player he was in 2016 for us, he'd be a great vet min signing who'd fit our needs perfectly.

For the vet minimum it wouldn’t be a bad move.

Some of you guys want a 33 year-old player who was on the floor 13 mins total all last season and whose main goal is to be active on game days?

Wouldn’t blame Deng on that. Lakers wanted to play their younger ways and moved away from him.

Noah's next. Then they get the band back together in Minnesota.

Since he has barely played the past two years he should have fresh legs right? Is that how it works?

Idk if I’d rather give Deng a shot or see if Iso Joe got in shape over the summer. Probably neither.

How does this affect the Lakers free agency cap situation next year?

If he could contribute anything, Lakers would need it.
