Interesting results. Only 50% like his handling of economy. Only 45% like his handling of taxes. Only 38% like his handling of immigration. And only 34% like his handling of russia. Also, AP poll says 18% STRONGLY approve of POTUS, 20% somewhat approve, for an overall approval of 38%. Base must be shrinking...

His base was always around 40% plus minus a few points depend on the poll, so it is exactly where it always has been. if he gets to around 30%, he should really start to get worried because that means the base is jumping out of the Trump ship.

 

I think the "strongly support" is his base... and that's down to 18% according to this AP poll...

So trump was close... only off by 11%.

All MSM fake news, next. Seriously, I still think vote him out in 2020 is the best option for everyone.

 

Trump's not going anywhere with the Republicans in control unless he's below 30%. That's always been the breaking point. 37% is still in the margins for Trump & his base which is what they are counting on turning out for elections. Even if he did stoop to 30%, the Republicans know his base is the only shot they have in the midterms.

If he fell that low, and they lost control of the House, you'd probably then see a major reset within the Republican party that wouldn't benefit Trump & would make his life more miserable than it is now.

As long as the economy is continuing to be juiced up though, & the Republicans control the Senate, I think he's always going to be in that margin & could go up to 40 to 45% again if his legal troubles get quiet for a few months or he can quietly get help shutting everything down.... you know.... becoming a dictator.... quietly though of course.

 

I like how Trump always quotes Rasmussen's numbers when his approval gets back to 50% and he stays quiet when it's underwater like today: -10%

Its startling that a historically low number of Americans think trump is honest... but even more startling that 32% of Americans believe he is honest...

OK, people accuse me of only posting bad things about trump... here is a good news poll: a plurality of a plurality (48% to 42%) of Americans think trump is mentally stable!

Saw in the most recent Farm Journal that their polling indicates: 80% of farmers voted for Trump. Now, 54% of his voters would vote for him again and 43% have an unfavorable view of him. Thought that was interesting, if not totally unsurprising.

 

This would be an ideal time for Mueller to finish up the investigation. Either indict or clear the president.
