Time to bring back that championship mettle from last season. Enough messing around...these pesky A's need to be put in their place. They're kind of like the 2015 Astros team...good, but not quite ready.
Biggest series of the year to date. The Astros have hit well in Oakland and Seattle, I hope they packed their hitting sticks and the pitchers use this as a post-season audition!! WWW Go 'stros!!
Astros are on the road, Astros have played well in California For this Month, winning 2 of 3 vs the Dodgers, Sweeping the Giants. The As are overachieving especially with Moneyball Billy Beane, This is for the AL West Championship.
I really hope we take 2 of 3. I can't remember the last regular season divisional series that seemed this big. And this isn't just a run for OAK at this point. They are a very real threat. One of the best teams in baseball. Only 3 teams in the MLB have higher winning percentage: BOS, HOU, and NYY. Honestly, kudos to Beane. Literally no one had them here. Quick aside: I just can't bring myself to hate OAK or SEA. Obviously screw Southern Oklahoma, but the AL West "rivalries" thing is almost non-existent. Maybe I'm wrong. I miss STL and CHC thrashings, but I guess the BOS/NYY tears are a nice substitute. I'd love to see mixed playoff seeding, but that's incredibly unlikely. We can hope OAK kicks NYY in the wildcard game until then. In all honestly, we are our only competition...but OAK is certainly giving us a run for their money. Hopefully a return of health is all we need. Go Stros!
