http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...h-long-term-deal-ahead-franchise-tag-deadline Bell to the Texans... calling it. Watson, Bell, Hopkins, Fuller, etc. Would be best offense in football. How do you defend it?
JJ and Honey Badger can go in this scenario. I'd try to free up more cap to keep Clowney IMO. It won't happen but one can dream.
Good football teams don't pay RB's that much money. RB's of Bell's caliber can have a lot of that production replaced. Pittsburgh is smart by franchising him.
Just JJ only can get us Bell. Cutting JJ saves about $13M I believe. Not to mention Kareem, Lamar and JJo could be off the books. Most likely won’t happen though.
That obrien hasn't been good at building an offensive roster. He helped build that OL, and I don't see any change with Gaine. The defense meanwhile looks quite good
So OBie cut an all-NFL OL from his roster breaking from training camp? You don't like OBie. I get it. OBie did not develop Xavier Su'a-Filo. There is that. If Su'a-Filo can resurrect his career going forward, that is all on OBie.
The offensive line was not the reason why Watson got hurt. I don't know why yall keep typing that false narrative.
So you know definitively know when Watson's knee got damaged versus when he could no longer play on it. You sir are all knowing. I guess that I am tired of the "OBie is incompetent since he started Savage for two quarters over a rookie QB" narrative. It is just silly on face value. Most HCs bring along rookie QBs slowly. And certainly if the HC knows that his OL is crap-tastic said rookie QB might develop bad habits. Texans fans do not have to guess how this scenario could play out. See David Carr. No one knew how well Watson would play in that situation. If they did, he would have been the first QB drafted last year.
When he got here, it was a top 10 OL. It's gotten worse every year. I get you like ob, I just don't see why.
That's not necessarily true all the times because A. Rodgers has had his share of horrific offensive line. But that wasn't the point, people needs to stop blaming the offensive line for a fluke injury. Lamar Miller was blocking the dude who landed at Watson planted foot. So how in the hell is that on the line.
