Those statements are true.

However that isn't something that would be included in an indictment targeting Russian nationals.

The indictment doesn't directly implicate anyone involved with Trump in conspiring with Russia.

It does however tighten the noose further as it clearly claims Russians WERE involved and that the information gathered by Russians were passed to those connected to the Trump campaign.

Perhaps it ends there....... perhaps Trump and his team unknowingly benefited from Russian interference...... or it is just another step along the path to implicating top Trump advisors.

Time will tell.

You also missed two other important points:

The white house statement did not speak to American national interests nor demand russian accountability, but only attempts to defend trump's personal interests. And second, the white house statement does not condemn russia at all.
