Starting this a little early, I'm at Disney and probably wouldn't get to it by game time. All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PBP, that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on AT&T Sports SW unless otherwise noted. 6-18 Ryne Stanek (R) vs. Gerrit Cole (R) 7:10 6-19 Blake Snell (L) vs. Justin Verlander (R) 7:10 6-20 Nathan Eovaldi (R) vs. Charlie Morton (R) 7:10
We will crush them 2- 0 tonight! https://www.mlb.com/news/al-dominates-atop-latest-mlb-power-rankings/c-281759456 I know the party poopers say these don't mean anything, which is true but it's cool seeing others write about the stros. We're topping the charts like J-Lo's 1999 hit, "If you had my love", which was a revolutionary track on what would be the future of the digital era of love. A-rod hit 42 homers for Seattle during the 1999 season.
Archer is the bigger name, but Snell is their best pitcher right now, he looks legit. The Rays are going with relievers every 5th day, only 4 true starters. Stanek will "start" tonight, but will only go an inning or 2.
Archer, after a rough start, has been pretty great since May 1 giving up 2 or less runs in all but one start.
Yes. Rays have been pitching a reliever in the first inning of a lot of games. Sometimes, it is that they are using bullpen pitchers the entire game. Other times, it is disguise who they will use as the "starter" to prevent teams from loading up RHBs against a lefty or vice versa.
2-3 with Stanek opening. Rays pitching is such a mess that it is tough to see what is an opener before a starter and what is a bullpen game. Dodgers I believe are 2-0 when using an opener.
Blake Snell is a joy to watch (when not playing the Stros). He’s got some nasty stuff. Eovaldi is a really cool story as well, fun to see his comeback. Hopefully we keep the wins coming. May have to find a way to catch the JV v Snell matchup in person.
Fortunately, Stros have had good success recently vs both Snell and Eovaldi. Snell has an ERA of 9.00 over the past two seasons in 3 starts.. Eovaldi, 9.00 in his lone appearance. After researching, Archer hasn't b-slapped us past couple of seasons like he used to. I'm more worried about Home Offense than particular pitchers.
