There has to be something more about Kenny Smith disowning Houston. Last week or two, Chuck asked him if he lived in Houston and he stone cold replied that he lived in New York. Soured real estate investment? My bet... Bad p***y payments
klay didnt really have anything to do with Steph getting open initially. Tuck played like a safety knowing DG wouldnt be the one to get a shot. but DG set a screen for EG who lost Steph which allowed him to get open bc Tuck got stuck in the middle of nowhere.
Speaking of dining on crow, something tells me this new-to-the-NBA fan wasn't doing a bad Stir the Pot impression during LAST NIGHT'S 4th quarter:
I think he's mad cause Les had him for an interview when we were looking for the new coach after we didn't resign JB but ended up not signing him.
That's gotta be it. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...kenny-as-kenny-smith-interviews-with-rockets/ I forgot he interviewed and didn't get the job.
It was a bit disturbing to see how the end of the game unfolded. Rockets have to be smarter than giving Curry an open look 3. First, Paul should have never made the 2nd FT. That could have gone very badly. Have to be smarter than that. Imagine the media if Curry made that and on time. Would have sucked for years.
So many excuses and lies, it’s just entertaining to me. From all the segments I’ve watched here’s what’s being said (aside from FTF who are good analysts): - Iggy being out made all the difference - Looney, Bell and Young are now just scrubs - KD should be blamed and just messed up, not because of our defense - Warriors messed around, acted too cool - Rockets might have won a tough one, but it’s not sustainable (we did it in Game 2 with defense too) - Klay is hurt, haven’t heard about Curry though - Rockets played football type defense and just grabbed and held - Rockets were lucky that the refs let them play - Rockets were stupid, CP3 at least for making the FT (0.5 is not enough for catch and shoot) - Harden just played okay
Worst case for a make is an overtime game and an overtime loss. Trust me...the media would be jerking off on it for years at the Rockets expense if it happened.
If he misses on purpose there is a very small chance GS draws a foul and gets 2 free throws, or worse gets fouled on a 3 point attempt. The chances of a 90 foot buzzer beater 3 on a miss were very slim. I personally would've missed on purpose because with 0.5 second left and the ability to advance the ball GS has a much better chance of getting a good look at a 3 to force OT or even winning on a 4 point play. Let's not forget that Damian Lillard had 1.0 second left and was able to get off a wide open 3 due to defensive lapse to win a series against the Rockets. Not sure how much of that 1.0 second Dame used.
I just kept calling bull crap on that last call. Even though it went in "our favor", it just felt like the NBA was trying to make sure that the Warriors had another chance to tie the game for better drama and more ratings or I dont know...who knows...but I have seen games where it didnt matter if a foul was committed at the end of the buzzer and the refs just called it as it is. Just seemed very fishy to me.
