Astros demote Jake Marisnick and his 41/1 K/BB ratio The 41/1 K/BB ratio is along the lines of what one might expect to see from a particularly inept pitcher. Of players with at least 80 plate appearances this year, only the Rangers’ Drew Robinson has a higher strikeout rate than Marisnick’s 47.1%. No one has a lower walk rate than Marisnick’s 1.1%. It’s a pretty incredible combination. https://mlb.nbcsports.com/2018/05/16/10-days-after-getting-hurt-yoenis-cespedes-finally-lands-on-dl/
I was hoping for Davis or White but expected Kemp. It makes sense. His tools are closer to Marisnick in terms of speed and defense. I would love to have him thrive batting 9th to get a speedy runner on base in front of Springer, Bregman, and Altuve.
Our lineup should be this... I know the lefties are grouped but I still like it. Springer Bregman Altuve Correa Gurriel Reddick Marwin DH McCann/Stassi Kemp/Fisher I guess you could swap reddick and bregman but Altuve loves hitting behind Alex. He said that last night.
With the way he's hitting, it's time to cut bait and establish Kemp as the new second baseman. Good times.
Some classic cangrejero in here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/can-we-talk-about-tony-kemp.267022/
Would really like to win the series tonight in Anaheim. We have a brutal schedule coming up. 3 vs Indians 2 vs Giants 4 @ Indians 3 @ Yankees 4 vs Red Sox 2 vs Mariners
Meh, Cleveland plays in the worst division in MLB (three teams in that division are in full tank mode) and is sitting at 21-21. San Fran has an old roster and is much less talented than Cleveland anyway. Mariners just lost their best player for the year. Yankees and Red Sox series will be fun.
I'm bored on my off day and waiting around for the Rockets game to start. About to fire up the last few innings of World Series game 5 for the hell of it. I won't ever get tired of watching it.
