A fan just got the boot....right? He fell onto the field with his hand touching the ground. I think that's a big no-no. Whatever happened to bunting a runner over to third from second with no outs for a sac fly setup? It seems we never do that anymore. It seemed rather commonplace way back when.
Was more common place when you had to worry about a pitcher batting in your lineup... and even then, that probably was statistically the lesser productive move.
Really don’t think Marwin has a plan at the plate right now... he’s watched the fastball down the middle, and the curveball down the middle.
YES Network posed the question... Since 1990, what city has simultaneously had the MLB MVP and NBA MVP ? Houston ('94) should be one
Guys are being selective. They are either being fooled or are hunting in a different area or for a different pitch. Only way to fix taking strikes when fooled is being a free swinger. Unless it is two strikes, making a offer going for a pitch not being hunted for often leads to weak contact and double plays. Sure, sometimes guys are just making a pitcher work and are taking a pitch. I like that our guys hunt as it leads to more runs. If they take a few hittable pitches, it is worth it instead of the alternatives.
