Doesn't the definition for terrorism involve political change? (Unless I missed it) we don't know if he is pushing for any sort of political change. Here's the duckduckgo result for a definition: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.
I don't see many people splitting hairs on the exact definition of terrorism when the perp is Muslim. I thought we'd loosened the standards.
Well you might be right about that. I can't speak for those people. But the definition I was familiar with had always been about committing acts of violence to achieve some political ends. Further searching led to a politifact article talking about the definition of the word and how it can even be substantially different between the various federal agencies. So, who knows. Words don't matter. We've always been at war with Eurasia etc etc.
In your definition, it said "intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments" and often for political reason, but not required. I'd consider this terrorism, just by the fact that its scaring a lot of people and they're changing their day to day lives because of it.
I just stopped my automatic shipments from Amazon. I'm not f'ing around. I do not want anything to do with a package right now.
Well that was the definition that first turned up in a duckduckgo search. It wasn't my definition. Regardless, as per the politifact article, the word "terrorism" is so flexible as to be damn near meaningless now.
Theory: It's a pissed off retail store owner that had to close because Amazon took all it's business.
KVUE reporting at this moment that another explosion occurred at the Goodwill donation box on Slaughter Lane. One person injured. Damn. Edite: Brodie Lane, not Slaughter.
Another one. http://www.kxan.com/news/local/aust...plosion-at-goodwill-on-brodie-lane/1063391509 Reported package explosion at Goodwill on Brodie Lane
Honestly that was similar to one of my first off the wall thoughts about this. Like it was someone that got laid off from a retail store due to online competition killing the market and they were out for revenge or something to that effect. Probably not the case, but it's not the worst theory.
