Yep. Only way we can afford them is monopoly money or 50% reduction in salaries from each player (g/L with that).

Same with DeAndre Jordan. He's got a player option for next year at $24M+. Something tells me he's not going to take 5 or 10 million less to sign here, regardless of that Astros tattoo.

    Max Kellerman?

Can’t wait to see him and K. Jones team up.

The problem is, even if he's expiring, we're probably one of the teams with less appealing assets to trade for an all star as today, and i don't think he would force his way here if he can be traded to LA or Boston, even though who knows...

This is a good idea, don't think it's happening but damn that would be amazing, great fit, and can you immagine the meltdown for the Spurs? Lol

No way, come on. Capela is no match for Kawai when the latter is fit.

It's possible that may be one of the back up plans.

No way in hell imo, assuming they'll be willing to trade him this summer, i think every team in the league will be all over Kawhi, and teams like Celtics and Lakers have way better assets than us, but i mean, every team will probably make a call, and unfortunately we're one of those with less attractive assets to trade...i just don't see a PG situation happening with Kawhi, or better, i don't see it happening with us, maybe/probably with the Lakers.

I would be surprised if he did. Besides, I'm hoping we keep Capela. This is just having fun speculating. I like the team we have now a lot. My hope would be to keep most of what we've got now and just add a piece or two for next season. We could really use someone similar to Capela to back him up, but with a better shot. Nene is great in certain matchups, but a backup Capela would be cool. I hoped that Wright would be very useful, but Wright has turned out to be a freakish addition. His ghost has been reported wandering the halls of the Toy Box long after a game muttering, "I want to play! I really do!" I believe him. Would Wright's ghost be better than nothing?

Kawai is their franchise player. He will be a Spur unless he is damaged goods, or unless they get another franchise type player back. Capela is an okay player, who looks better than he is, because
    of Harden/Paul.
