He just isn't as athletic as he used to be. He could get by anyone. He can't do it anymore. He isn't tall and isn't a good shooter. I don't know how his head has anything to do with it.
his actually right, i watched a couple of games for rose this season and he is still athletic but you can tell it is more of mental hold back than anything else. He was once the best player in the league but now he can barely crack any team's rotation and it's probably eating him inside. I also read somewhere he's dealing with some personal problems on daily basis.
I guess avg a TRIPLE DOUBLE for a season is instant candidate for HOF presented by ESPN™ #HistoryEarned
Stromile Swift could jump up and touch the Rockets 2 championship banners and was quite horrid on defense. Lebron is a smart player and elite in many areas man. cmon
Shoe companies have a history of doing that Reebok gave Iverson a lifetime contract and Nike's endorsement to MJ extends to his kids.
Wtf are you talking about he had recurrent knee injuries dumb*** Haters hate cuz people are athletic?
He ain't even that good y'all. He ain't no James Harden or CP3 and neither one of those 2 won MVP. He was a fake MVP because they were tired of giving MVP to the King
Westbrook is only 1 month younger than Derek Rose. I think it is a different circumstance. Westbrook had two knee surgeries and came back and won an MVP. Derek Rose won an MVP then had multiple surgeries and declined. Westbrook will decline over the next 4 years, but so would any other player that didn't rely on athleticism as much. I think Westbrook is a freak athlete, the guy is 29 and still throwing down ridiculous dunks driving end to end. The guy is on Adrian Peterson level as far as his knees and injury recovery goes.
Derrick Rose doesn't deserve to make an NBA team next year. He needs to go to China and be a star over there. He is still quite popular in China. His crappy Adidas shoes will sell well over there. "We men"......... Well I don't know about that Derrick, but I do know that you are no longer an NBA player.
Brings a couple of my favorite poems to mind: To an Athlete Dying Young BY A. E. HOUSMAN The time you won your town the race We chaired you through the market-place; Man and boy stood cheering by, And home we brought you shoulder-high. Today, the road all runners come, Shoulder-high we bring you home, And set you at your threshold down, Townsman of a stiller town. Smart lad, to slip betimes away From fields where glory does not stay, And early though the laurel grows It withers quicker than the rose. Eyes the shady night has shut Cannot see the record cut, And silence sounds no worse than cheers After earth has stopped the ears. Now you will not swell the rout Of lads that wore their honours out, Runners whom renown outran And the name died before the man. So set, before its echoes fade, The fleet foot on the sill of shade, And hold to the low lintel up The still-defended challenge-cup. And round that early-laurelled head Will flock to gaze the strengthless dead, And find unwithered on its curls The garland briefer than a girl’s. Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost, 1874 - 1963 Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay.
Would you guys really hate the idea of bringing in D-Rose and waiving Granny Shot? I'm not saying he'd be a regular rotation player, but it could actually let us rest Chris periodically (or it could be one old guy too many).
A) Who is granny shot? B) The whole league doesn't want a guard who cannot shoot the 3 and cannot defend. His benefits are far outweighed by his costs.
This thread has some horrible looking D Rose shoes as advertisements. Lord help people that would wear those by choice.
