captained aguero, 42 points. had sterling = 8, and ryan (whoever that is) as gk = 8. that's 58 points. but with my luck, everybody else will probably go for 1-2 points for the rest of the weekend.
1-0 Juve after 1min. This could be good. EDIT: 2-0 after 8min. Both goals by Higuain. Tottenham was superior in the group stage, now they're in early trouble.
Juve's lengthy experience in the knockout stage shines through. Basel is getting massacred as we speak.
That was kinda obvious. Basel made the best out of the weak ass group they got drawn in, but normally they have no business playing in the knockout stage. City will score like 10 or so in the two games.
2-1 at halftime, Higuain missed a penalty in stoppage time. Real good game, I was afraid Juventus played some good ol' Catenaccio going for a 1-0 and then parking the bus, but it's intriguing by both sides so far.
Trying to keep it together but this is exactly why you don't sell Giroud no matter how much he complained about playing time. We don't have a striker for the Europa games this season now. I'm hoping Welbeck and find himself in the next 24 hours but the pressure for get back to the CL is now for them to get EPL top four, which is doable because they are now facing the softer side of their schedule but these ****ers have blown games to Norwich and mother****ing Nottingham so there are no guarantees
That missed penalty could cost Juve the series. But Tottenham's defense didn't look too stable the whole game, expect Juve to make a strong push now.
Even series. D is average. As much as I still like Juve's D and their players, Kane is the best C Forward of today paired up with young talents and Top 4 Creative midfielder of the EPL. Eriksen Oh, advantage for Spurs, they got 2 away goals.
Lewandowski disagrees Final score 2-2. Disappointing result for Juve, should've been up 3-1 at halftime and taken a solid cushion to London. On the other hand, they can't play too passive away from home now, so we should see another interesting game in three weeks. Hope Real and PSG keep that level up tomorrow.
I beg to differ. Kane and Eriksen share No.10 duties for that team, they take more responsibility for the team. Kane being younger than Lewan is already on that level this past 2 seasons, can score from virtually anywhere. I am not talking about 2014-16 Lewan. I think he will get used to some playmaking and holding the ball from the Forward spot. As good as Lewandowski is, he is not 100% identifying with any club, he is a mini mercenary. Overall, I'd take Kane. Both are really top strikers now. Mostly because of skills, even more height advantage, decent speed, younger age and loyalty. He is scoring more goals in the league.
