One thing that could make Houston more attractive than Boston for him, is that we can point out that he'd get plenty of time at LF (meaning Marwin can go back to his role as super utility man), unlike Boston, who reportedly wants to use him as the DH only. That seems to be a major reason as to why he doesn't seem to want to sign with Boston.
