    isnt Beverley exactly more of the active-energetic type, that gets blown by quite easily quite often rather than someone who knows where to be an d what to do

    That's exactly who Bev is, but he has that added component of being enough of a total dick out there to get into opponent's heads. As soon as the opponent is thinking "I'm not going to let this a-hole get to me," that means Bev already got to him. Take that aspect of his defense away and he's just an average defender, but that can be a VERY effective tool against the right teams.

    We must expect really, really different things from NBA players.

    Maybe it's because he's in a Rockets OFFENSE - but he looks utterly woeful to me.
