The scary thing is they're playing relatively well, and the Warriors are without Draymond and Curry... and still up 13.
looks like Portland won’t be able to come through the Blazers are headed nowhere for the forseeable future How many .500 or barely above, 1st round exit type seasons are they willing to go through? Dame as your best player isn’t taking u too far.
their front office had 1 of the worst summers in recent memory by handing out those contracts to Turner/Leonard and matching that Crabbe contract...what’s even crazier is that they were ready to hand Parsons a max before signing Turner
Last season when Durant was out, Warriors had a tremendous record under Curry. It just means that when you have two MVPers and first ballot HOFers in their prime on the same team, you can get away with missing one during the regular season.
They each bring different things to the game. If given a choice as to who I'd rather face sitting out, it seems like a toss up. Care to explain why the choice is so clear for you?
I'd rather face them without KD. Their advantage is mainly in the frontcourt (and why they have an advantage over us). I'd say our backcourt is better. And KD's been a defensive beast, he's contesting and helping a lot on the weak side. You don't really "go" at KD anymore, but you can see how we went at Steph a lot in our first matchup (primarily the switches to get EG or Harden matched up on Steph - hence why he was in foul trouble early). The answer isn't clear cut and it can depend on the team. The Cavs, for instance, would rather not have Bron guard KD all game, so they'd rather him out and Curry in. But for someone like the Thunder, they'd rather have Curry out (cause of WB's style of defense), and they can stick PG on KD. They could also rotate with Roberson on KD, and actually add value to him even getting playing time (since he's a big negative on offense and could make up for it by guarding an elite offensive threat).
because of the effect that Curry has on their offense...he is their engine offensively and most important player on that end their offensive rating when Curry is on the floor: 118.9 their offensive rating when Curry is off the floor: 106.9 their offensive rating when KD is on the floor: 116.8 their offensive rating when KD is off the floor: 109.6 last year it was a lot more pronounced their offensive rating when Curry was on the floor: 118.1 their offensive rating when Curry was off the floor: 102.4 their offensive rating when KD was on the floor: 117.2 their offensive rating when KD was off the floor: 108.6 their offense was still very good/borderline elite whenever KD, Dray, or Klay were off the floor, but when Curry was off the floor, it cratered to bottom of the league levels Curry’s gravity and the threat of what he can do from distance warps defenses more than KD
