Problem is, they had a chance to win it all this year. People might even say the best chance, as the road to the superbowl runs through Philly. Hell, the road for both conferences could run through the state of Pennsylvania, at this point. Pittsburgh in the AFC, Philly in the NFC.
This post is either sarcastic, stupid, ignorant, or you simply just read it wrong. If sarcasm, then I'm not sure what your point is. Religion is seen globally, so I'm sure it's not ignorance. Could be stupid, since Watson isn't implying God had anything to do with Wentz tearing his ACL. Yep, going with stupid and/or read it wrong. 40/60 split, to give you the benefit of the doubt.
No misunderstanding here. What does it mean when Watson says "god" has Wentz's back? Like he controls Wentz's destiny? If "god" controls Wentz fate then he also made him tear his ACL. Why does "god" only get to take credit for the good things that happen and not the bad things that happen in a person's life?
I think Watson is implying that the power of prayer or believing in a higher power, will do wonders for Wentz's rehabilitation. I'm not going to make any assumptions about what religion you believe in (or if you're atheist or agnostic), but prayer or believing in something impacts different people in varying ways. I could be wrong, but I think you can interpret Watson's tweet as "God's got your back, dude! Keep praying, keep your spirits up, and you'll come back stronger than ever!"
True they may have had a chance to get to the superbowl but just like most teams when you lose your QB and don't have a backup that has the same or similar skill set you end up like the Texans this year.
