A little late posting but really enjoyed reading this. We too lost our home during Harvey. My wife breaks her foot during clean up. I got a call from family that my grandad isn't going to make it just a week after Harvey hit. He ended passing three weeks later on September 24th. My grandad was a huge Dodger fan and he was buried with his Kershaw jersey. Every year for the past 7 years I've flown out for his birthday which would have been October 24th. I would have loved spending that week watching the World Series together. It was a very emotional time for me but man I cried my damn eyes out when we won the World Series. This Astros team I will never forget. Neither will my liver... lol
Yesterday was the first day I didn't watch any Astros playoff games since the WS, but will be making up for it tonight with Game 7 of the ALCS.
I've never been more excited for opening day to get here. Used to go every year with my dad, who passed away 2 years ago almost to the day (Nov 19th). Looking forward to starting the tradition back up, now with my 4 year old daughter.

I'm kind of burned out from watching all the appearances. It's cool to see them getting recognized everywhere. But, you can't see and hear the same stories told over and over pretending it's like hearing it the first time. It's good to watch the first time, though. I do have a new nickname for Bregman, though. Mr. Alex "It's Crazy!" Bregman! He has said "it's crazy" more than anyone I know that would in a lifetime but in the last two weeks alone.
