Not addressing the need for a quality safety in the draft over the years in a pass-heavy league is the biggest Texans' blunder besides hiring BOB. Drafting a Marcus Peters or a Landon Collins would have gone a long to way to ensure Hogan and Cooks don't jog into the end zone untouched.
Nice game for Watson. He really showed me something this game. For a change, B'ob seemed to have a good game plan as well. Too bad the defense could not keep up.
Well, we did draft a #1 Cornerback. That hasn't turned out well. The kid keeps getting hurt. I'm still waiting for our other #1 Hopkins to make some break away moves downfield and shake off his defenders.
Damn you Moore for that drop...Damn you refs for your usual BS at foxboro(picking up that flag and NOT looking at that crazy catch?? that Cooks made..still believe that the ball moved once he hit the ground.) Damn you Bill O'Brien for NOT going for the 3rd and 1 with Foreman, and then taking a FG on 4 and 1 with 2:30 left...smdh. Damn you O'Brien for NOT calling a TO once Hopkins caught that bomb and let 10 seconds run off. Damn you O'Brien for your chin...O'Brien gets a ton of damns...
I've let the day go by, and I'm still PISSED at BOB for how he mishandled the end of that game, starting with the 3rd and 1 play call. Watsons coming out party with a victory over the Pats (on the road) could have launched this team for the rest of the season.
Really wish BOB would swallow his pride and bring in a veteran OC. Rushing Miller on that 3rd and 1 plus terrible clock management at the end shows a lack of understanding that could be remedied by a trained hand.
From pats honk friend: 4&1 FG call was the game. Brady is king of the game winning drive and we set it up for him. Otherwise totally impressed by D and Watson/Foreman on offense. Thinks BOB is a hack. What can you say about Brady that hasn't been said? GOAT. Amazing. The guy can still stand tall, take the hit and drop it in the bucket 40 yards downfield. His release is just beautiful. I don't know how you can watch that game and think the Texans were officiated by the same rule book the pats were. That was some crazy stuff going on. Still, the Texans were right there at the end to shoot themselves in the foot. Watson is a player. Foreman is too, I'm astonished by whatever weird archaic football notions that kept or keep them off the field. I don't know if it's fuller but they desperately need a receiver to stand up and make some plays. Hopkins isn't Andre Johnson and likely never will be. He is good, he just isn't dominant. We've seen this offense fail the defense over and over again. It was finally time for the defense to stand up and win the game for us and they couldn't come through. It was heartbreaking and gave us hope all in one bittersweet package.
Of course you're not wrong. That wasn't a td, hogan was down at the 1, Brady was sacked by jj but was allowed to get a pass off, and gronk pushed off the entire game. The calls that they receive at home is unbelievable.
You got playmakers at QB, RB, WR, DL, LB, they really need help in the secondary. Especially at safety. Someone who has a knack for the ball.
Agreed but i don't blame the refs at all for calling that a TD. Sure as schit looked like one live. Have to be in the perfect spot to see if that was actually incomplete or not. It's a shame the cameras couldn't confirm it.
For real. Also, Dres Anderson is ready and waiting. I think it's time for a little" Braxton, Braxtoff". He hasn't shown up yet.
