You do realize that the walking through a punch with his face is the one who loses a point, not the guy hitting him.
So if that's the standard, 1. GGG was by far the most aggressive and he landed many more punches than Canelo did....meaning that his aggression was effective. 2. GGG absolutely controlled the whole fight, Canelo did nothing but run away or back into the ropes 3. Neither fighter landed a high percentage of their punches, but Canelo landed a slightly higher percentage, so go ahead and give this one to him if you like, if only by a small margin 4. When it comes to power punches, Canelo landed 4 more, but he took many more "hard and clean punches". That said, no one hurt the other so all of those punches might as well have been jabs. So you have GGG easily winning 1 and 2 without it being even a little bit close, you have Canelo eeking out 3 and even if we call 4 a tie, that still equals an obvious win for GGG overall. Seriously man, there's just no case for Canelo even forcing the draw here. When you talk about how Mayweather wins with defense, he almost never gets hit while out-striking his opponent, that's not what Canelo did....so that whole line of thought goes out the window.
They almost never record a hit on mayweather. Mayweather backs into ropes and let's his opponent wall on his body. None of those are recorded as hits.
You mean to say that he blocks them and that's why they aren't recorded as punches that land. There's a reason you can't compare anyone else's defense to Mayweather's, it's just that good.....it's boring as hell to watch, but it's skilled. Canelo didn't do anything like that. Sure he made GGG miss a lot of shots, but he took a ton of them....which is why he would have lost the fight without corruption.
I'm talking about his iron chin dude. I was making a **** joke about Canelo running away and his punching power.
GGG dictated the pace of the fight from round 4-12 he had the better jab and was the aggressor. Those three things are what the judges usually look for the most in a fight. The fact that it was a draw shows GGG won imo. Anyone who follows boxing new it would damn near impossible for GGG to get a decision against the only cash cow in ppv boxing at the moment. Canelo is tough he's better that I give him credit for but you don't win fights pot shoting and landing a few counters, especially when your being out landed and pressed backwards the whole fight. 8-4 GGG easy Now in the rematch I expect canelo to make some changes so he has a real shot to win because I know GGG Will fight the exact same fight and that's an advantage to Canelo. But if G can figure out how to time and land his big right hand it's night night for canelo
Just like I thought, canelo beat the snot out of ggg. But because triple g is handled by HBO, and the recent loss of their cashcow Roman gonzalez the once dominant network is getting their **** pushed in by al haymon and Showtime boxing they could not afford triple g to take a loss. With Crawford, lomonchenko and every other top rank fighter fighting exclusively on espn. HBO would be dead without ggg
Is this a freakin joke? You apparently didn't even watch the fight and base your opinion on a video that only shows Canelo's best punches? You realize one could do the same for GGG? Brutal to see so many people nowadays build their opinion on one-sided YouTube sh** without even bothering to watch the actual event.
and if you guys want to watch the best of GGG, watch the entire fight. not only you'd see his offensive best, but how he ate those power punches from Canelo.
