Apparently it's only because the pitcher has to bat type move... forces them to pitch to springer or altuve if a pitcher is sacrificing somebody over.

So Reddick is not about to show the world he's on Altuve's level.

    :(

Well boys, Springer batting 4th in All-star game so you get your wish. I don't know what I want more. ppl before him on base and he bombs one. Or we go 1-2-3 and then Springer leads off with a HR lol.

Here's to hoping that Altuve gets a leadoff homer and that Springer gets a slap hit followed by two stolen bases.

I'm quite annoyed as to why Springer is in LF and Betts in CF, when Betts only made the team by default.

So I guess all of Hinch's decisions wouldn't be mirrored by every other manager because they are obvious. (which is so often argued as the case.) I can only imagine what will happen if springer drives in a bunch of runs . ugh.

People will probably say..."it's an exhibition game" and then continue not caring what happens in it.

Are you advocating the Astros re-hire Brad Mills (the one who made this lineup decision)?

I'm guessing you weren't watching the Astros during the Brad Mills-era.

That absolutely will not be what happens. What are you, new?

No, but you're right, I forgot a qualifier when I said "people" earlier. I can't do anything about stupid people being stupid.

Brad Mills was horrendous, but this is an All-Star team not the 2012 Astros.....

ok, I was bored enough to press "show ignored content". I'll give you one more reply after this.

No, I'm not advocating the hire of brad mills.

Yes, there were times I watched the Mills era as religiously as I am watching now,

Nobody...literally nobody...could have won with those rosters. Francona loves him as his bench coach, he obviously knows a thing or 2. He does have a couple of rings and all, and a Pennant and a WC berth with Cleveland.

Now Porter on the other hand....

It is an exhibition game. What are we talking about again?

It's either the NBA MVP Award, the Warriors, or the lack of oomph in Correa's HRs. I keep getting the threads confused.
