That's it! I'm taking my boys camping, away from all digital life. Lord knows me hitting refresh every 30 seconds ain't gonna make Melo appear any sooner. See you guys tomorrow afternoon. Shark out!
I dont have any breaking news, but im tired of seeing the same updates all the time. Heres my contribution while we wait
Matt Bullard highest salary was in 2000-2001 when he made 2 million. Salary cap then 35.5 million. About 5% of salary cap space. During his championship season with Rockets, Matt Bullard made about half a million a season. Ryan Anderson's salary in 2016-2017 = 19 million. Salary cap = 94 million. Eating up 20% of salary cap and this is just year one of the contract. My memory is getting a little hazy but I dont recall Matt Bullard ever being paraded as a starting PF for an entire season either. If Matt Bullard was eating up 20% of our cap space, I would imagine we would still be trying to trade him to this date.
True. The higher salaries were around $3.7M (today's dollars) in 1990, compared to $20M in 2014, and we're seeing that grow to $30M just 3 years later.
They should just make Steve Mills the GM. The issue with Griffin seemed to be that he wasn't actually being offered control. Dolan trusts Mills (lol) so just give him full power.
And people were freaking out last night about David Griffin taking the job. OMG this could hurt us! He's smart! He's not taking back Ryan Anderson! What are we gonna do!? Yeah, and count on the Knicks to screw it up.
Wonder if these are related. Maybe with Griffin withdrawing, they are focusing exclusively on getting Melo out?
