Not sure. But he's long overdue for getting stretched out and trying to start again. He was developed as a starter. Doesn't have a clear cut late inning role right now. Astros have a need at starter.
I'm a big fan of pulling Martes. He doesn't have it today and the game is still in reach, get him out.
Aoki would be a good Bench player He gives good "at bats" Fights off pitches and makes the pitcher work...just isn't good enough to be a starter on a contender Doubt he has much trade value, could see Jake moved in a deal and Aoki moved to the bench for DJ though

Not sure I can see anyone trading for him. No one wanted him in the offseason when the Mariners DFAed him, and he hasn't really enhanced his value at all since. I really think he's just depth for injuries. No reason to be worried about a 4th OF (5th if you count Marwin) on a team that's doing fine. Fisher would come up and platoon with Jake at best. The incremental gains in a relatively small # of ABs don't help a ton right now, but additional reps might. When Fisher comes up for the playoff run, I'll take all those incremental gains in every game.
Would hate to see Jake go, would probably hurt the club house as well, seems like a popular guy on the club. Would rather they let Aoki go if they don't trade Fisher.
