Why run and Springer has the ability to win the game with one swing

Astros could have swept if not for some of the worst baserunning this season.

    NOOOOOOOOO!!!!

On the plus side, Yanks lost 6th in a row, so our lead is still 6.5 in the AL. Kind of hard to believe with how we've been playing, but we still have an iron grip on the AL, and our big arms are about to come back.

Umm, of course you steal there. You're facing a pitcher that gives up virtually nothing. If you steal, you need 1 hit to tie the game. If you don't, you need 2 hits, which is going to be nearly impossible.

Every team will try to steal in that situation if they have a good basestealer there. It's why Boston threw over so many times - everyone in the stadium knows its the play to try to make.

One of the most frustrating games by far this year.

Astros aren't going to win anything playing that way at home.

I guess we'll have to say goodbye to "best record in the league" soon

Sounds like you know nothing about baseball. Every team tries to make that play every time, if they have speed at 1st.

Running was the right call. Aoki was the one who bungled it fouling off balls on two would-be successful attempts. Fisher was winded by the end.

That game was god awful all around. Took ages, worst homeplate ump I think we have seen & such a **** way to end the game and I cant wrap my head around the choice to run with Springer batting with 2 outs. I get it with Aoki, but argh

I agreed running with Aoki at the plate but Springer can end it with one swing there. Yes Kimbrel has been lights out but just hate leaving the team's best HR threat standing at home plate to end the game there.

Why you don't push it and take the bat out of Springers hands.

Right call with Aoki, was not the right call at all with Springer batting and 2 outs. You dont take the bat out of the hands of a man who has 19 hrs and has been hitting well and Tuve on deck.

3-15 with RISP cost us the game. Time for a road turnaround. Get Reddick back soon too!
