It's a tragedy all the way around. Maybe I'm a softie because I've got family in prison (not comfortable going into more detail on the BBS), but human beings are dynamic. He did a horrible thing and, in the dark recesses of his mind, he made another awful and irrevocable choice this morning. Somewhere along the way he lost his direction in life and couldn't extricate himself from the wrong people. There's something sad about a person with all of the talent necessary to succeed in life who throws it all away. We're all capable of good and evil. All of us have done something we are not proud of. I'm not excusing murder, but part of me holds out hope that everybody is redeemable. It is sad that Aaron Hernandez didn't reach that point.
I honestly couldn't care less. Maybe the thought that he just won a case but is still looking at the fact that he's going to die behind bars one way or another was enough to push him over the edge.
"Hernandez was found with the Bible verse John 3:16 written across his forehead. The verse reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." https://www.seccountry.com/sec/report-aaron-hernandez-found-cell-bible-verse-written-forehead Spoiler
Kind of a dumb law. I guess the family of Odell Lloyd will have to suffer notes and miss out on money.
