    Season 1961- 1962 MVP of the NBA -- Bill Russell
    also Robinson made 41 triple doubles that season. Robinson's team was second in the West that season.

    Season 2016 - 2017 MVP of the NBA -- ..................
    also Westbrook made 41 + triple doubles this season. Westbrook's team is sixth in the West.

    Surely there must be an outstanding player with a team near the top of the whole NBA who should be
    the 2016 - 2017 NBA MVP not a player in such a lowly team.

    Oscar Robinson -- identical twin of Oscar Robertson. Which one actually got 41 triple doubles in '61-'62 is a fact that still mystifies the media to this day.
