I think the Nuggets have a very minimal, but at least a shot at upsetting the Warriors in the first round.
They did kick the crap out of the Warriors in Denver a few weeks back. But on the flipside, what if the Spurs get the #1 seed? Portland beat them in San Antonio a couple weeks ago.
I still take the Nuggets over Blazers against the Spurs too. The Blazers wouldn't be consistent enough against Spurs.
The Nuggets and the Blazers are damn near identical to me. Young teams that can fill up the stat sheet, but can't get a stop in the 4th quarter to save their lives. In terms of who I want to take the 8th seed, I'd give a slight edge to the Nuggets because I like their young core better than I like Portland's.
This Nurkic guy is really good. This could go down as one of the worse trade in history. Blazers back on top thanks to the dumb GM from Denver
Back on top is quite the exaggeration. But yes Nurkic has been amazing. I partly wonder if the Rockets could have gotten him for Harrell, Wiltjer and 2nd round pick or something like that. But then I realize he's not the fit that Capela is. He wants the ball on the block type big.
LOL at the Nuggets for giving away Nurkic AND a 1st round pick. Sold LOW on a C prospect and compounded it by throwing away a decent asset in a 1st round pick. They got back THE RIGHT to PAY Plumlee as a RFA. Mighty fine work there Nuggets. This Blazers tweet has no chill!
