    Cherry-picking. It is an OK stat for the franchise, but not relevant to the current team (roster) which has turned over 90% since just two seasons ago.

    The Rockets this year are leading the NBA in 3 point attempts as well as 3 pointers made.

    Only two teams in the history of the NBA have led the NBA in 3 point attempts and makes in the regular season and then gone on to win the NBA title.

    The 1994 Rockets and the 1995 Rockets.

    I think we have it as good as it's going to get with Morey. We can only get worse, not better. Your stars either step up in the postseason or they don't. He's given us the second best regular season product in the last 10 years in the entire NBA. So he's done better than 28 other GM's and teams if you're just talking Regular season.

    rockets are regular season specialists. i guess thats something i can say to those larrior fans or spurs or lakers or celtics.

    them - who got the most rings?
    me - who got the most regular season wins in the past 10 years after the first team?
    them - wtf?
    me - :runs to corner and cries: god dammit murray! hurray and pass me a cheeseburger :(

    Since the NBA/ABA merger I believe Houston is 7th all time in wins. LA is 1st and SA is 2nd.

    Really wish this meant something, but it doesn't.

    Being a true CONTENDER is all that matters, and this is the 2nd time in those years they have been one.

    The first was when Yao got hurt.....and played in the playoffs on a broken foot......this is the 2nd.

    So we were 3rd right? What did we just pass Dallas r something.

    It means Morey is pretty damn good at turning rosters over without losing,,,per the orders of his owner. Cuban couldn't do it. Only Portland in the 90s was able to completely turn over like this without losing per owner orders.

    This is really just the first time Popovich is retooling...and of course LMA and Gasol wanting a ring helps.

    Inb4 Kimchi doesn't need LMA,Gasol and Lee
