    I find most DEFENSIVE GURU type coaches
    seem to get the benefit of the doubt and some leeway from the Refs

    They foul more and get called at a lower clip

    reminds me of the old Seattle Sonics
    They would play an illegal defense EVERY TIME DOWN THE COURT
    and only be called on it maybe 3~4 times a game

    The idea being. . . THEY WON'T CALL IT EVERY TIME SO EVERY TIME THEY DON'T WE CAN DOUBLE HAKEEM WITHOUT THE BALL
    Which is why they had a winning record against the Rockets

    I think Thibs has the same kind of thing .. . THEY WON'T CALL EVERY FOUL
    so we can get away with some things

    Rockets 36% from floor 27% from 3, scored 16 gave up 33 in 2nd quarter. Pretty much the ball game. Rockets just dont have it

    You know, I like that idea, but sports officials in the U.S. are tender, little, thin-skinned babies. That and w/ the institutional problems that happen in the NBA, NFL I can't see that happening.

    As I typed this, the quarter ended and the Rockets don't seem to have a run in them yet. I'm going to go light some candles, rub some treasure trolls, and go find a rabbit to cut off it's foot.
