The grizzlies are the Jerry Sloan Jazz, essentially.

Boring to watch, but highly effective. When you watch the grizzlies you are going to see a heavy dose of the high pick n roll, and a commitment to defense.

Yeah but will OKC have a better record than the Warriors? And who on the Grizz now is on Kevin Durant level?

So you're saying they'll never win a championship? Gotcha.

Conley's about to show the world he's on John Stockton's level, apparently

Honestly, at full health (which they never seem to be at) the Grizz are more like a poor man's version of the Don Nelson Bucks; a tough defensive squad that can win a bunch of regular season games, but lack the star-power to legitimately challenge the real contenders once the playoffs roll around. Destined to be forgotten.

Yall can thank Lionel Hollins, he instilled the culture and atitude that the Griz continue to play with today

I like the Hubie Brown Grizzlies better than Sloan's. Everyone got the exact same PT and participation trophies at the end of the year. They were all champions. Better than Joerger crying like a baby after the season.

Jerry Sloan's Jazz were the dirtiest mother****ers to ever play this side of Detroit's Bad Boys. They basically said, "We're going to commit a foul on every single possession of this game. The refs can't call everything." It's a garbage tactic, and there's a reason why it never got them a ring.

The utterance of the name Jerry Sloan makes me nauseous. I could always smell his cigarette coffee breath through the tv/radio as he described why the j*zz beat the rockets. It hurt with Malone and it hurt even worse when Boozer and Williams were in that system. Snyder has those guys playing tough as well but damnit Sloan, lot of nights I cried myself to sleep because of that guy lol
