I still think Hillary will win and have the shortest electoral "honeymoon" of any president in modern history.

It is either Trump in 2016 or a Republican in office in 2020.
Assuming the GOP is able to take advantage.

How is that lose-lose for Democrats? It's probably the same the other way too - if Trump wins, it's like a Dem president in 2020.

The key is the Supreme Court. Dems have a chance to flip it for the first time in a generation, and you never know what that opportunity will come up again, so winning in 2016 is vital.

I meant lose lose regarding house-senate-executive office.
But yeah, that is a fair point about the Supreme Court.

I really love how Trump is the candidate. Showing that even though we have iPhones!! The human race is not quite evolved as we think we are.

Considering how stupid the national GOP has acted since Obama's election, don't assume anything about 2020.

My original picks were another Bush vs Clinton so I was half right. I still think Bush was the GOPs best choice at attracting moderates at least on paper. He actually was good to Hispanic minorities in Florida, is bilingual and wouldn't have pissed off so many minorities in general like Trump has. He would have met the status quo of Republican ideals without coming off as such an extremist and would have appealed to moderates. He could have cited having a good track record with Hispanics to attract their ever increasing vote and maybe won some key swing states while following the party line.

Does it even matter? You're choosing from two of the worst bottom of society candidates. Only question is which if the two is slightly better than the other for this country which is prolly Hillary but Trumpy has his delusional followers so you never know.

This is truly sad and pathetic but at the same time quite hilarious.

It's on the internets so it must be true. It's probably a site run by a white supremacist. Trump tactics.

Yes, the media has been failing in this for quite some time. You used to get quite a bit of good analysis of each candidate's positions on key issues, as well as good coverage of any issues they had. That's pretty much non existent now. Journalism, in general, has disappeared. It's all more designed to stir up controversy. That's probably good for ratings (or why would they have done this?) indicating the problem isn't with the media...it is with us. We get the media we seem to want.

I remember back when GHW Bush was running, and he pointed out that he has position paper after position paper out there, easily accessible, for anyone to see if they wanted. People, and the media, weren't interested, even back then.

Agreed. She will start getting the blame and being grilled before the sun goes down on November 4th.

It's going to be really difficult for her to get re-elected.

Which is probably the single biggest factor leading many to vote for Trump. That and #neverHillary.

It would be interesting to see where this falls in terms of importance for those voting from either side. I suspect it might resonate even higher on the Republcan side. Are most Dems anti-Trump, or pro SC selections?

The Supreme Court argument is puzzling to me when it comes to conservatives who otherwise dislike Trump. If you acknowledge that everything he says is contradictory, ill-informed and subject to whatever is pulsing through his brain at that moment, why is his list of potential nominees sacrosanct? What gives you confidence that, unlike every other position he's taken thus far, the list will remain unchanged?

It is less that people trust in Trump to nominate conservative Justices, and more that they know for certain Clinton will not.

You might want to re-check the results in the link you posted.

Apparently the world was watching the debate...
