Time is drawing closer and I feel like everything in the public is against Hillary at the moment.

Meanwhile, because Trump has been so insane for so long people have adopted the "yeah whatever" mentality.

I'd say trump has a very real shot at becoming president now.

    What do you all think?

Note: this isn't what you want to happen. It's what you think will happen.

Damn. Zero interest in a poll.

    This election sucks.

Maybe it's because I'm in Texas but i'm growing more and more afraid Trump is going to win.

Although all the trend lines are headed Trump's way, I still fear that Clinton will pull out the victory. I wish it was Rand Paul running against her instead of Trump, but if wishes were horses. I still intend to vote Johnson, but will watch with interest as things develop.

It's starting to look more and more like 1968. The riots in Charlotte were the kind of thing I would have feared BLM and Bernie supporters would have tried to pull in Philadelphia on national television to give independent voters an impression of discord and destructiveness that makes a rich, red-blooded model-****ing white guy who builds buildings seem like a safe, familiar bet. The bizarre ramp up in mass killings over the last year has created a further spectre of encroachment by non-Westerners, the fairly rapid evolving of gay rights and trans-acceptance probably doesn't help either.

I'm so disgusted by the whole thing. I don't even know what to think anymore. It's pretty evident are political system is severely broken. The media has completely failed in its responsibility in keeping candidates accountable. The Citizens United decision will continue to make a mockery of our political system. There's no reason for a candidate to present well thought out plans and ideas. All you have to do is act like a Jersey Shore idiot, ratings equal votes. It's pathetic.

Seriously, we couldn't do better than that? We should probably just give up.

Good call. I've just been reading Kurlansky's book, 1968, and it's disturbing how appropriate it is to our current times.

After riots in the summer of 1967, MLK Jr. said (paraphrasing) 'we can't have another summer like what we just had, or we will see the country swing hard to the right, and we'll end up with a fascist state.' This was all about the fear of the white retaliation/blowback on the civil rights movement, especially once it moved out of the south.

Amazingly good read at any rate. I hope the comparisons stop any minute now, TBH.

I am almost completely convinced that given the level people hate blacks and Muslims nowadays that Trump will be elected.

I'm confused, what does free media coverage of someone acting like a "Jersey Shore idiot" have to do with Citizen's United?

They're both detrimental to electing qualified candidates for President who will govern in the best interests of the people.

I'm not surprised the race has tightened up and Trump certainly could win but I still don't think so. I think Clinton's organization, get out the vote and ground game will be enough to keep the election in her favor.

Yes, the whole world wants Trump to be the most powerful man on Earth so he can give out nuclear weapons, discard NATO, ignore existing treaties, and play pee pee games with other world leaders. Nailed it.

Not only that, but it's a completely inaccurate representation of the majority views of most of the countries listed on there.

It would be one thing if it was actually somewhat believable. It's not even remotely true.

I would not be shocked if most of those votes cast are by bots.

It is an unscientific poll. You could make an argument for Trump using a variety of other means, but using an unscientific web poll that can be easily manipulated instantly kills all credibility.

I'm not salty, just don't really understand where your brazen degree of confidence is stemming from lol.
