I agree. Altuve is in one of his biggest slumps right now but Bregman and Altuve are my top two picks of who I want at the plate in a big moment.

Giles just can't have a clean 9th inning. Not the definition of a good closer to me so far.

If you take 2-3 at home against them then you are doing just fine.

Big series against Cleveland coming up.

He last blew a save on June 18. He gave up 0 runs between June 18 and August 9, when he took over the closers role.

Since August 9, he's been the closer. He has 6 saves. He has 0 blown saves. Twice he's entered with a 1 run lead, and he protected it with a perfect 9th. What else do you want from him.

Don't trust him unless there's a 2-3 run lead. That's the same feeling we had with Gregerson and Harris. Would have more faith if he wasn't regularly giving up a run in the 9th. He's had good stretches during this year but rarely has had clean 9th innings since taking over the closer role.

Sure consistent good clean inning would be great. But if is still able to calm himself and get the save after making a mistake, that will prove him even more tested for playoff situations when good hitters will still make things tight.

He has given up an earned run in 3 of his last 24 outings

    Carry on
