They are all on winning teams??

    Charlotte
    Toronto
    Memphis

Assistants dont get the same credit as HCs and are usually all over the place...they're not really going to have a proven track record. You have to look further than that...roles in player development, experience, etc..

    Stein's blowing up:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">All three, sources say, are getting a strong look from Houston to potentially serve as associate head coach if D'Antoni is hired as expected</p>&mdash; Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/733422830746894336">May 19, 2016</a></blockquote>

    ...sigh...

Looks like JR is on the money. They've decided on the HC.... Pringles.
Now they want to pick his staff for him...

Players play harder and take criticism easier if it comes from a coach they like.

I seriously doubt Toronto or any other team would grant the Rockets permission to interview their coaching staff --- unless a head coach promotion was on the table.

    "Associate Head Coach".

Is that like Assistant to the Regional Manager?

Hollins added to those 3 would make a power crew.

    Not necessarily.

Money plays a part, as well as length of contract and what his responsibilities would be with the Rockets.

Unfortunately most associates with a proven record end up being a head coach somewhere...

I like assistants with potential over head coaches with proven BAD track records!
