Great, more nepotism.

Not saying Silas is a bad coach, I have no opinion of him.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this guy would probably be a better choice.

Of course, before this past season, I would have said the same thing about JBB, that he would obviously be better than MDA. And we all know how THAT went.

Can someone give a good cliffs-notes version of what would make Silas a good HC here?

clearly either way we go, D'Antoni or Silas, we are getting ready to REBUILD AROUND JEREMY LIN!!!

also thinking about it. I feel Dantoni might be head coach and Silas might be the top assistant. I feel this is very very likely

You could argue that JBB's 41-41 record is not really bad for his first season as coach.

He managed to win 1 game against GSW (although without Curry), still not the worst resume tbh

MDA and Silas would be a pretty good team I think

Pros: He's "fresh" blood (ie not a retread)
Cons: He's "fresh" blood (ie could be another Morey/FO puppet — He's new, let's pick his assistants, lets tell him this is how we're gonna play. More of the same?)

I'd much rather we go with Silas than D'Antoni. He's more of a wild card, but he likely has better upside. Plus if we can't turn things around for a few years, I'd rather hire a 42 year-old coach who's hungry for his first opportunity as head coach than a 65 year-old who's had multiple stops(the last 2 being failures) and wants to win now.
