This movie looks decent. I will watch it...... when it comes out on PPV

 

That trailer looks awful.

 

Antoine Fuqua. A journeyman director who's made average genre films. Not promising.

 

Phew with y'all... count me in, I need a Western and this one looks fun.

 

Prequel to the Hateful Eight?

 

When I first heard about Tarantino making that movie, I was calling it Magnificent Eight by mistake -- stupid lesdyxia.

 

I like Westerns, so I'll watch it. I'm not really expecting to like it, though.

There will be parts and performances that I enjoy, and I think are well done.

But it's hard to remake a classic movie that was actually good, and have it hold up to the original much less surpass it.

Of course, I hope it will blow me out of the water and prove my expectations were off. I will give it the chance to do that.

 

Agree. You can't market that type of western today as it simply won't go over well with the current movie going crowd. It looks like a contemporary action flick with guys riding horses, wearing cool clothes and shooting GUNS. But Denzel really looks bad ass so I'm on board.
