    I think if you read what I wrote, which I will reproduce for you here: "The wife and I love the album he did with Willie (Pancho and Lefty)".

    Not, "The song that he didn't actually write", etcetera, etcetera. I'm well aware Willie and Merle didn't write the song. QUADRUPLY so after this thread. :rolleyes:

    Willie said before they released the album that it didn't seem to have that one big hit. Then they found the old "Pancho and Lefty" song, recorded it, and it became a big hit.

    Can I extol "Reasons to Quit" from the same album, given that Merle Haggard wrote it?

    Got to see him at the Hall of Fame in College Station 15 years ago +/-. One of the all time greats.
