Rockets, Jazz, and Mavs all at 37-38 with 7 games to go, who makes the playoffs?

I think 3-1 or 2-2 are realistic scenarios in the last 4 games

 

if we lose 2 games out of our last 7 and the grizzlies lose 6 out of 7 we get their spot because of the conference records. if you look at the schedules and their injuries, its actually quite possible. the problem is......... the rockets, as usual.

i think its harder to take portlands spot than the grizzlies.

dallas and utah will be no problem if we do our job. and of course we know its a big "if".

 

I just want the rockets to be atleast 42-40 if they make the playoffs. I can't stand it when teams make the playoffs and don't have a winning record.

 

They will.. but that's the least of our worries.

 

How? Mavs are even worse than we are right now.

I believe the Jazz are in, so it's between us and Mavs.

We have a slight advantage over Dallas. By my count, we have 2 toss up games, and 4 solid wins (based on opponent). Dallas also has 2 toss up games, but only 3 solid wins. Too bad they play SA to end the year, you know that Pop is going to rest his entire starting lineup.

Here's where things can get screwy. Clippers may have nothing to play for and decide to sit a bunch of players when they play Dallas. I don't think that will happen, because they need to build chemistry with Blake Griffin and the game is at home.

 

We're going to the playoffs on an season best 8-game winning streak, including a win over OKC, which then sets us up for a first round matchup with OKC.

That would at least make things extremely interesting.

 

We will get the 8th seed only to get swept by GS. If we get 7th we might win one playoff game.

 

I'm not sweating bullets yet. I think we will make it. Our last 4 games are gimmicks and we if we don't win all those we really don't deserve to make it.

 

i chose Rockets and Jazz. If the Rockets don't win 6 out of their last 7, they don't deserve to be in the playoffs...

The Rockets know it's crunch time and time to start playing some playoff caliber basketball. I think we make a crazy run and play like last years team. I don't think ANY team wants the Rockets in the first round. All the negativity on Clutchfans has become very annoying. All of you "die hard fans" already throwing in the towel if we face GS or SA first round. This is basketball and we have a solid team. Playoff ball is completely different. It's about adjustments and taking certain players out of their comfort zone. We have the roster to compete with any team. Stop being negative and believe for once. We can beat anyone. Don't count us out until it's over.

 

I wish Jazz and Mavs both missed it. Oh well, at least one of those 2 douche teams will be missing it, better than both making it. (which would suck even more because then the Rockets would be out)

Pick between Jazz and Mavs....pick between knife or gun. Can we just say neither and have 7 teams in the Western playoffs?

 

Based on these H2H records it seems all three teams are equally intensely mediocre.

 

Rockets will make either 7 or 8 seed and get swept in Round 1
