One of these days we'll be all smooth at the dance club and ask for Kansas' number. If we get it we should hold onto it like it's made of gold. Or maybe we can change our number because they have it.
So the Horns will play Baylor on Thursday at 11:30 AM. I think if they can win that, they're locked into a 5 seed.
Cameron Ridley on track to play by NCAA tournament, coach says http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/14920506/cam-ridley-texas-longhorns-return-big-12-tournament <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">I'm ballin like its march madness!</p>— Cameron Ridley (@cam_ctmd55) <a href="https://twitter.com/cam_ctmd55/status/706867056348520449">March 7, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Really good news. Just need to get him 5-10 mins of playing time tomorrow and hope we get a win and another game for him to practice.
UNI is a tough draw. Won't be easy that's for sure. Possible rematch with A&M in the round of 32 though.
And if they get through that, OU. Pretty crazy that they would likely have to go through their 2 biggest rivals to get to the Elite 8.
Yeah, tough draw... regardless though, I'm just happy Smart is moving program forward. It's actually faster than I expected, bball is finally looking up (even w/ end not perfect), ut definitely performed above expectations. Nothing against Barnes, just got stagnant at the end.
Was expecting to pull it out in OT and then that happened, and then there was nothing but curse words
I'm sad for the seniors because I thought we could make the Sweet 16 with this team. At the same time though, we need a more athletic frontcourt, or simply a frontcourt not stylistically based in the 90s. Most of the frontcourt will graduate, which will lead to a drastic shift towards Shaka's style next year. While I want Taylor to stay, it might be better to see how we do when we move on without him. He gets tunnel vision at times and was never a great shooter, even with yesterday's performance. We need to get another PF (Jarrett Allen), C, and SF through recruiting or transfer before next year.
I'll go ahead and congratulate UT on their considerable improvement in the first year out from under the shackles of Rick Barnes' coaching - from 20-14 and a first round NCAA tournament loss, to 20-13 and a first round loss. Also, my condolences to VCU, who without Shaka Smart, fell from 26-9 and a 2nd round tournament loss, all the way to 25-10 and a 2nd round loss. One day, someone will make a lot of money writing a book about the complete reversal of fortunes in these two programs.
Interesting chatter about Roy Williams retiring after the season and UNC going after Shaka. Could be pure speculation but something to keep an eye on for UT fans.
I'd like to congratulate the UT women's basketball team for only losing to UConn by 21, beating the spread. But seriously, props to them for playing hard even though they were outmatched.
Isaiah Taylor hired an agent today and will forgo his senior season. Not the biggest fan of his game and could see him going undrafted.
