Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata character. You can see her (CGI) in the poster, kinda small.

 

Including the PT, there will be a total of 9 films in the "numbered" film series. But there will be the Boba Fett and Han Solo separate spin-off films.

i just checked out showings for austin and i can not find it at an imax that does not have 3d. i have no interest in seeing 3d movies anymore. i enjoyed avatar, but the other 5 or 6 i have seen has ruined the movie for me. i pretty much hate it.

i just realized what you meant. i worded my question wrong. i'm fully aware of the 6 existing movies. i was just asking about what comes out in the future.

What would be the best theater at which to see (EXPERIENCE, really) this movie? Houston doesn't have a true 70mm IMAX theater, right?

 

The way Han is speaking to Rey... Rey is definitely not his daughter. She is obviously Luke's.

 

But who did Luke boink then?

 

Who is Maz and what is her role in the movie? Is she a jedi?

 

Sounds like Jada Pinkett-Smith. I don't see her in the cast list though.

Edwards Marq'e but the movie was shot in 35mm. Kinda pointless since they'll have to blow it up to 70mm.

I would go with a theater that still runs 35mm and a bad ass sound system Alamo perhaps. Or a reputable digital theater that won't dim the projection light bulbs to save money. Santikos or a Cinemark RPX 2D.

 

That was ****ing sweet. I'm almost embarrassed at how geeked I am for this movie. I just hope I can avoid spoilers, I have no idea what the plot is and want to keep it that way.

 

Well, it was Mara Jade in the EU, and they had a son named Ben, but that has all been retconned now.

Good trailer. Totally pumped now.

 

There's going to be a 3rd spin-off film, but the main character of the 3rd spin-off has not yet been revealed. So, in reality, there will be a total of 6 more films.

I only know of AMC Studio 30, AMC Gulf Pointe 30, AMC First Colony 24 (which is the closest IMAX theater location for me), Edwards Houston Marq*e 30 and IMAX, and Santikos Silverado IMAX. I am not sure if they are 70mm IMAX though.
