I didn't know that he was a Yale professor but he is a poor writer. Maybe he tried to write more simply to "stoop to the reader's level". And miraculously some were even lower than the very basic level of reading skills to understand this simplistic article.

BTW, there have been multiple genocides made by the state. The lack of state institutions doesn't enable genocides more than keeping some regimes that are likely to commit them.
I wonder also if he takes into account that when Hitler started his rhetoric the technology was much behind than it was AFTER the war. We can't assume that the technology would increase with the same rate. Wars lead to technologic development. Proved by both the world wide wars.
And not to mention that noone in the 30s could possibly conceive or predict the rate of the technological progress.

I don't know I guess I don't like that professor and think he has many holes in his theory.

I don't think that's what he's arguing anyway. He's not saying we should never have gone and defeated the Third Reich. He's saying their destruction of state institutions in other countries stripped away their ability to resist Nazi atrocities.

Anyone with a quarter of a brain will look at this guy as a troll. The NYT article was nothing like what he posted. Just pure BS and so dishonest. It happens all the time in the news so I'm not surprised he's doing the same thing here. That other climate change thread is all his and it's probably filled with the same fossil fuel industry lies.

Irrelevant. This is a NYTimes article. It was not published in any other newspaper or website, to my knowledge.

    I just...can't.

This is like an episode of Catfish where the person who is caught tries to justify his/her thinking.

    It's awkward. I'm uncomfortable.;)
    Let this one burn out....

Well then, why don't you explain, using direct citations from the author's article, what he was saying? No one is preventing you. Medication or not.
